Stunning views around “The house on the Brooks”. The atmosphere is magical and secluded, the river ( a mature chalk stream) flows at the bottom of the field. Yet a stones throw from the village and an easy walk to pubs with decent food.
There are three wildlife sanctuaries within walking distance. The house is off the map in more ways than one.
Inside the South Downs National Park the unique wetland micro-environment has a special fantastical quality all of it's own. Rare dragonflies, wonderful bird life (pic opposite is cormorants roosting in tree, an easy spot with binocs as you sit on the sofa), buzzards soar over head.
We are situated on the bank of the River Rother, the house comes with a mile of coarse fishing, great runs and really big fish. Sea trout in season. Shared fishing on the River Arun half mile below the weir.
