Wander up the valley along the old branch line to have lunch at nearby pub. Or if you are more determined walk across the magnificent Amberley wild brooks (weather permiting) to eat in one of the Amberley Pubs or why not have lunch in the castle?
FIshing exclusive use of half a mile of bank of the Rother shared use of half a mile of one bank of the Arun. Good runs, big difficult fish.
Riding. There are nearby riding stables. Must be booked in advance.
Walking. Endless excellent walks.
Wild Water. Use the river, it is not allowed to extreme sport the weir. The river is very fast flowing in spate and extremely dangerous. It is deep; some people have chosen to swim entirely at their own risk in the slower summer months.
Bird watching. The House overlooks a registered wading bird breeding area. Hide use is free. Two RSPB reserves and a Wildlife reserve all walking distance. When flooded sometimes thousands often hundreds of birds maybe
viewed from front bedrooms.
