The House on the Brooks is set against the stunning backdrop of the South Downs and the River Rother- a mature chalk stream which flows at the bottom of the field. The atmosphere is magical and secluded, yet just a stones throw from the village and an easy walk to local pubs with excellent food.
There are three wildlife sanctuaries within walking distance; the house is off the map in more ways than one!
Inside the South Downs National Park, the unique wetland micro-environment has a special fantastical quality all of its own. Rare dragonflies, wonderful bird life and buzzards soar overhead.
The house comes with a mile of coarse fishing, great runs and majestic fish, with sea trout when in season. If you are a keen fisherman, there are shared fishing facilties on the River Arun, just half a mile below the weir.
The house's proximity to the RSPB nature reserve results in a beautiful variety of wildlife in and around the grounds. Due to this, we request that fireworks are not used on the grounds, and loud music is not played after midnight.
