The space, the landscape backdrop, the quirky nature of the buildings, makes a unique venue. We give you flexibility to have campers or offer extra beds in other houses to your guests. Our venue is about your choice;



Brief of venue:  House on the Brooks  Five star house (as web site with four large bedrooms, each with own ensuite bathroom. Plus fully fitted kitchen. Bed set up flexible singles doubles to sleep a maximum of 14.  Plus acres of grounds with wonderful landscape views for your marquee.

Large Bonfire option. To gather round for the after party. £120 paid to the woodsman.


Barbeque option. Both the House on the Brooks and the Barn have BBQ fire pits, The Mill house has a nearby glade in the woods which is used for bonfire parties. These can all be used and price is included in the individual house prices.  






















Are there any restrictions attached to the venue? (Fireworks/Candles/Noise/Sparklers/Decoration)

Please No fireworks, no amplified music after eleven pm , no smoking in the buildings. No dogs. No sparklers. No ticketed events. We do expect you to leave the venue as you found it and to have a good breakdown procedure for your event. If you are clear with instruction to the caterers/bar and  that the quote includes clear-up and removal of rubbish, then is fairly effortless as this is the bulk. If you do not want to clear up we will and charge accordingly to clear up after you. We provide large general bin and re-cycling bin. Usually copes with 120 ish people. Larger weddings need more bins, discuss with us.  


Venue visiting times? (When can we visit the venue)

By mutual arrangement. It is only possible to view when the house is unoccupied. Almost impossible weekends in the spring/summer/autumn as always let. Weekdays daytime or some evenings are more likely.

20% non refundable deposit to secure booking. remainder payable 60 days before event.

The Mill House option: Situated five minute walk away from the House on the Brooks and the barn, this secluded house has large grounds and wooded bonfire space. Sleeps up to fifteen.


The Timber Barn option; The Timber Barn with Banquet Hall  and dormitory.. The Timber Barn has a Banquet Hall that can sit fifty, it's own kitchen/toilets/showers. Can sleep up to 17. Own garden, pergola, and fire pit.



Adjacent to Airstream caravan and cabin option. Situated adjacent to the Timber Barn. Airstream has a double and two singles and a double in the Cabin. Both have a private garden.  

Duration of hire for the House and Grounds?

6 nights 3.30pm checkin first night 10.30 am checkout last day. This to give time for set-up and breakdown. Whilst you can host smaller more intimate family do's in the build up.    


Is your venue suitable for a 50 guest wedding (seated)?

Silver service Fifty seated inside the barn is possible. There is no limit to the number as the grounds are huge. If you have more than 50 people and you don't want to risk the weather you will need to rent a marquee.  


If you have preferred caterers are there any caterers? Also if there is a self-catering option are there anything we need to know re: kitchen/insurance etc?

You can arrange your own caterer, if you struggle to find one I am sure we can suggest one. If we do not already know them, caterers and marquee co's come to visit before the wedding, to do a site visit. Most professional caterers bring everything they need and have their own insurance. Please ensure in the quote that the bar and catering providers remove all their debris and rubbish.
